Dealing with customers online or in-store could sometimes bring up some problems, but we want you to be able to sell with confidence knowing that you are protected on Bargain Master Nigeria website.

Best Practice

To benefit from Bargain Master merchant protection you must be verified and must have earned the B-verified seal.

The B-verified seal gives you an advantage over businesses that are just online without a trust seal. Customers are aware of the verification process and they trust you and are willing to do business with you on this website.

Merchant Business information:

Your business information on Bargain Master must be correct, verifiable and up to date. Any update on your business information after your registration on this website must be updated on your account.

Product image upload:

You must upload clear product pictures and all related pictures that describe the uploaded product. See product picture formats and guideline. Buyers must see clear pictures to help them in making decisions on buying the product and also to help the merchant in case of any dispute. This process applies to both new and used products.

Product description:

In addition to manufacturer product description, you are advised to write a unique product description that explains your listed products on Bargain Master Nigeria website. The product description must be unique from manufactures description. This is to demonstrate your knowledge and independent view on the product you’re selling.

Stock limit:

You have to set your stock limit to alert you when the product you are selling is low on your inventory, you must set any product that you have listed on your inventory but sold offline or via other point of sale to zero.

This process will remove the “add to cart” and “Buy Now” button from your product page and other places the product appear. The system will automatically disable Buy now and “Add to cart” button when your product stock level is zero.

Customer Review:

Customer reviews are a key part of our business; we take it very serious, it helps other members learn more about a particular product or merchant. Your response or reaction towards negative reviews or reward towards positive reviews affects your standing on Bargain Master.

A merchant can report reviews appeared to be incorrect, malicious, or unrelated to the merchant or product sold by the merchant, Bargain Master will check the review to determine whether to delete it or the member will delete it.

Reviews can only be done by a Bargain Master registered member. The user must indicate whether he or she has bought an itemon Bargain Master from the merchant being reviewed or offline at the merchant’s store.

Merchants get all review alerts to help them react to negative reviews on time.


All items must be properly packaged and safe for shipping, by our shipping partner UPS. If a merchant decide to deliver the product to the buyers address using the merchant’s own shipping option, the merchant must be responsible for any issue or dispute that may occur.


UPS is Bargain Master official shipping service provider partner, and will handle all product delivery for products bought on this website, if a merchant decide to self-ship the product to the buyer, then Bargain Master Nigeria will provide delivery verification code for the buyer and the selling merchant.

The code will be used to verify that the buyer has received the bought item from the merchant.


Merchants are advised to use the communication features provided on this website to engage and discuss solutions with a customer. A good customer service and dispute resolution practice startwith a prompt and clear communication between merchant and a buyer.

How you are protected:

If you have followed the Best Practice as listed above and fulfilled other product listing requirement, Bargain Master will make sure you are protected;

If a buyer claims an item isn’t the same as described on the product description:

You may be protected from losing a case if you provide clear documentation that the item was described accurately and consistently in the listing.


  1. A buyer opens a case because of a defect in an item, but the defect was accurately described in the product description page.
  2. A buyer opens a case because an item isn't new or has minor scratches, but the product page clearly and consistently describes the item as used.
  3. A buyer opens a case because they didn't want the item, but the item was accurately described in the product description page.

If a buyer claims an item hasn't been received

You're protected from losing a case if our shipping partner has sent the delivery report showing the product has been delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer. If you shipped the product to the user using the self-ship option and you have provided user purchase secret code and the item arrived within your stated shipping time.

Merchant ratings and detailed User reviews

Automatic protections

Negative and neutral Feedback and low detailed seller ratings are automatically removed when they're:

  • From buyers that we know (or have reason to believe) haven't paid.
  • From buyers that show a pattern of leaving low Feedback.
  • The result of major systemic events outside of your control.
  • From a buyer that has been suspended.
  • From a buyer leaving Feedback on a transaction that resulted in a case decided in your favor.

We automatically determine if the buyer has bought the item from you or has bought any of your listed products on Bargain Master Website, on another website or in your store location.

Manual review

Sellers can request that we remove reviews if it violates ourReview policy. We'll review the Feedback and determine whether it should be removed.

Automatic 5-star detailed seller ratings

Offer great customer service and get automatic 5-star detailed seller ratings, as follows:

  • Shipping and handling charges
    • If you offer free shipping and we know the buyer chose that option, you'll get an automatic 5-star detailed seller rating for shipping and handling charges.


  • Shipping and handling time (Self-ship)
    • If you specify same business day or 1 business day handling, upload delivery code  information within 2 business day of receiving cleared order payment, and the item shows a delivery time of 4 days from receiving payment, you'll get an automatic 5-star rating for shipping time.
    • Self-ship free shipping listings get the extra protection of having a low rating for shipping time automatically converted to a 5-star rating as long as you upload delivery codeinformation and the item is delivered within the stated handling and shipping time.
  • Communication
    • You'll automatically receive a 5-star communication detailed seller rating if:
      • You specify same business day or 1 business day handling and upload delivery code information within 2 business day.
      • There are no requests for contact information between you and the buyer.


Buyers and sellers have an opportunity within 15 days from the day a case is closed to appeal our decision by providing appropriate documentation through the Resolution Center.

Other resolution methods

Buyers can't use more than one resolution method to get a refund. After selecting a resolution process a buyer is required to use that process for the duration of the case.

  • If a buyer files for a refund, any cases opened with Bargain Master Buyer Protection for the same transaction are immediately closed.

.Bargain Master return policy

The Bargain Master return policy gives you and buyers a simple and efficient way to handle returns.


If a buyer has done everything in their power to ensure an item is returned to you safely, we will issue a refund to provide great customer service. A lenient return policy is strongly recommended, except in circumstances where the buyer is at fault. For example:

  • The wrong item is returned.
  • You receive an empty box.
  • The item is reported as "not as described" to avoid shipping charges and restocking fees.

If you suspect that a buyer is abusing the return process, contact Bargain Master Merchant Center through the Message center in your merchant page.

In instances like this, a merchant may escalate the issue to Customer Support, who will review and consider your communications with the buyer as well as the information you provide in the report.


If a buyer is determined to have abused the return process, they may be subject to a range of actions, including limits on their buying or selling privileges (if they are also a merchant) and suspension of their account.

Shipping Program

When you use our partner shipping program (UPS or other listed shipping service provider on Bargain Master) you're responsible for getting packages safely to the UPS shipping center nearer to you or making show the package is ready for pickup within the specified period.


If an item is damaged or lost during shipping by our shipping company partner you're protected from:

  • Bargain Master return policy when:
    • A buyer claims an item isn't received or
    • A package is damaged
  • Negative and neutral review when:
    • You win a case alleging damage or loss
    • The review comment relates to a problem with shipping

Reporting a buyer

The buyer protection policy outlines our expectations for buyer behavior. Violations may result in a range of actions, including customer review removal, cancellation of cases in the Resolution Center, limits on account privileges (such as sending SMS,  Message, customer review, buying on Bargain 360), limits on overall buying activity, and account suspension.

To report a buyer who may be violating our policies:

  • Review the buyer protection policy(and its related policies) to make sure the buyer is really breaking the rules.
  • Once confirmed, report the buyer
